The Cognep Assorting Microscope (Sortoscope) is an advanced instrument designed to simplify and accelerate diamond assorting for small-sized stones. It lets professionals assort high-quality diamond parcels for clarity and make - in half the time compared to the traditional 10x loupe and tweezers method.
Operation & Illumination
- High-Intensity Spot Illumination - focuses light precisely at the centre of the black ring for perfect visibility of each diamond.
- Adjustable White Tray - moves smoothly up or down so stones can be checked from different angles.
- Darkfield with Light Concentrator Glass - focuses light on one point for high contrast on every inclusion.
- Ergonomic Handling - professional tweezers and anti-slip tray, even for the smallest melee sizes.
Performance & Testing
Tested by expert diamond assorters on brilliant-cut diamonds (0.50-0.60 ct): grading capacity of 300-350 stones per hour. Typical clarity results: VS1 20% | VVS2 40% | VVS1 25% | LC 15%.
